maps and game modes on the workshop

can we please get maps and game modes on a steam workshop, hate having to sit with the game on constantly waiting for map downloads, i want a game i can play not one i have to sit around waiting for, i could have easily downloaded all the downloadable maps and game modes while im not on my pc and would easily be able to join many games using these maps instead every time i go to join a server there is always one or two maps i dont have and im stuck waiting,they dont even download at my full internet speed in game

They won't use Steam Workshop since it's a game sold also on Oculus store, and soon also for Quest.
You can keep download all content without using VR via PC spectator mode - just add this to command line:

-nohmd -SpectatorMode=1

Well, that is your choice. mod.io is still a startup, and if you look around, even big titles like Insurgency suffers from similar issue. All that being said, you download map once, and it's usually good for weeks or months. If you can't dedicate few minutes for downloading, then maybe you shouldn't bother with the content.

The mod system they've decided to use is ridiculous and having to use a workaround like this just so I can jump in and play without having a half an hours worth of updates screwing with my game every time I start is absurd. It's put me off using them completely and judging by the maps actually being played I can see I'm not the only one. Pretty bored of the standard maps after a couple hundred hours and I don't see myself playing much more or being able to recommend the game if the mod system remains as is,

The system is great. You don't have to do anything. You can download all mods ingame. Easy peezy. Download all the mods when your not playing. Its ridiculous this bothers you so much.

Rediculous... Does he not understand the basic concept that Steam workshop does not work on Oculus. This mod.io implementation is super user friendly and does not require a user to do anything other than click subscribe in game. Want to download on desktop you have two options. Go into spectator mode or go to Mod.io.., what a POS for giving a half ass negative review. Why I don’t trust half of Steam reviews and usually just try out the game for myself.

I'm also not aware of any Steam VR game where you can download mods from within the game itself.
Pavlov requires you to visit Steam itself to download new content. You can browse everything in Contractors.

Are you a moron or something? You just run contractors in the background and any subs on mod.io are real-time synced and your downloads start immediate.

If you're too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy to even start the damn game then you want us to believe you'd have the mental fortitude to open the workshop page? lmao.
