If you could choose which pet you want to tame which would it be

Mine is the Dragonfly

PLEASE add tier 3 weapons of every type such as bow, spear, and dagger! It's strange having the mutations and then having no high tier weapon to use them with.

imagine adding a bunch of bs before actually finishing the story

so this patch is a big old skip then huh? No expansion of the defence mechanic which comes way too late in your playthrough to even be used and no expansion to the map or story, but hey we can upload our maps to the good ol cloud and not easily upgrade our armour...
And if this is the last major patch I guess nothing will change

This is one of the only games I've played where every update gets progressively more and more... weird.

Pretty much. It's weird making things this convoluted when I think most people are buying the game because the concept is interesting. I hope we get mod support with 1.0 if the devs are dropping the game since I think there's a good game under all the strangeness.

They are mainly in the harder areas, like the Black Ant Lab or the Sandbox.

There's a chest or two in every lab, and also chests that respawn, but are hidden (and need to be dug up) from Sandbox and Upper Grasslands areas :)

This seems concerning to me. Gtg download and see for myself, but right now it feels like this is actually taking an aspect of the game away. Collecting and fully upgrading everything.

Instead it's feeling like we are gonna be pigeon holed into not being able to upgrade as much as we want, at the cost of time and effort. Hope there is plenty of the " non-respawning" resource to go around. Not just for me, but what about the friends we have come join our worlds? They are going to reduce YOUR worlds " non-respawning" resources, more or less deleting permanently.... your stuff? We will then NEED to WORLD HOP in order to steel " non-respawning" resources from other people's worlds. This is a pirate game now?

It is finite in the beginning stages, yet, there is more than enough of the finite spawns to go around. You just need to explore :)
It is also, not finite, as you are able to craft, once you unlock the recipes..
No one is being pigeon holed in any way.
Devs have stated this in plain terms, and yet no one seems to read or understand?
Also, you still cannot world hop lol never have been able to, and never will be.

i love it!! keep it up!! you should make ALL BUGS ABLE to be tamed imagine keeping giant bees in a hive for honey or taming lady bug or spider for adventures as pack mule and weaponized self defense spider!

heck even a small humming bird as a flight pet!

That's the thing though. This makes upgrading early gear pointless to do because you will need to have higher tier gear to get to those endgame areas to get the infinite recipes. So you will just save what you find only to upgrade the high tier armor and weapons.
They are essentially making the game much harder and casual players will not enjoy that at all. Or even solo players.

"unique, non-respawning resource" how are 4 players supposed to upgrade 2 weapons each now???
