Bug Lures

I put down two of the flower lures in different areas: One near the flower bed, and another near the baseball/first research tent you find. The only things they seem to attract are ants. Is there a specific place I can put them to attract aphids, weevils, or gnats? I was hoping the lures could help me complete quests for those other insects that don't seem concentrated anywhere.

The bigger ones have fixed spots and for weevils you just drop a mushroom on the ground and wait ;)

I know where to find the larger bugs like stinkbugs and bomber beetles, but where do I find aphids in a large concentration? I got the quest to kill 10 of them and I rarely see them running around or hanging upside-down on blades of grass.

i strewn rotten food all over the ground where i put up my base by the fence, and the ants have still not touched any of it.. i found that odd after hearing i had to even hide my chests up high off the ground so the ants dont get into them. so far ive yet to see the ants deviate from where they usually traverse.

i tend to find loads of aphids near and aro8und the oak tree, but also loads of spiders too.

I used to be able to do ant nest but i carnt even kill a soldier ant anymore and 2 of them kill a spider as i lured one in and ran like hell, spider died to 2 soldier ants and then so did i when they caught up with me :(

I see only people who are friends and who you invite can join your Multiplayer game. unfortunatly all i have is 11 people on my friends who only have it wishlisted and 0 who actually own it :(

I built three lures near the red flowers (specifically between 2 of the red flowers) by the oak tree. I don't know if this is a bug/glitch, but they attract a lot of aphids to the area. Like..... a lot.

I've posted a screenshot publicly to show the amount of aphid. (A few ants and a spider too!)

you need gnats? lol ever look at the light around the pond at night? it lures them from the whole map. there is like 50 of them around it. (wooden log fence thing, berry side) there are more lights but thats the only one i am close to
