I'm curious! Where did Tully mention his 4 colleagues? I could only figure out: Dr. Klein, who he confided in at a BBQ (and who is implied to told Ominent of the SPAC.R progress) Director Hubert Picon, who seems to be (at least) a high Executive at Ominent (and shut down the SPAC.R once and a second time after the unsuccessfull test in front of the board) and Kaminski who works at the new Division where Tully has ben transferred to after his constant and final (straw) failure of the SPAC.R (who he referres to as an Idiot, potentially ruling him out of possibility as a SPAC.R candidate) - It seems far more likely, that the spaces in the aluminum case is the 4 protagonists we play and a mysterious fifth one. In addition to that Tully seems to have gone missing a while back.
Could you mabye link the note or tape about the first expedition? That'd be awesome <3
Strange Note 01, Wendell Observation record, saying one of the people working with Dr. Tully is a spy from Ominent observing and recording what he is doing.
"Wendell's research continues to progress, although I'm still uncertain what he's trying to do here.
It seems like he's trying to use the berries from the hedge as some sort of leather substitute, but I'm not entirely sure.
It's almost time for the team to rendezvous back at base... (one of the shrunk labs) I need something solid to report or else I'm gonna be in huge trouble (he has limited time before others come back and needs to get some intel fast without being noticed.)
Maybe there's some notes on one of his whiteboards that I can jot down real quick before reporting in. "
Do remember that Ominent labs are already built small and so to get there and see anything you have to shrink too, especially Hedge.
From my understanding his daughter Sarah threw the frisbee into the hedge, destorying the first Hedge lab, which is the part on the ground below the hedge itself (where now all the spiders roam around and Tully mentions the Broodmother for the first time) and since the BTU Notes are his conversations with BURG.L I thought he told BURG.L to install the Ziplines going to the new Hedge Lab (Since BURG.L seems to do weird stuff sometimes, like write poems about the koi or creating new color schemes for SCA.B devices he told him no "tomfoolery" with the Ziplines)
Also I don't think Tully has a team by himself, since he stopped mentioning Ominent in later Logs and his position, I figured he left or has since been let go from the company. He mentions in the "Control Room Notes" their "little adventure we discussed" for which he needed BURG.L to build the respirator (which implys he's expedition to the Haze Lab) and in the same Note he mentions "peculiar timestamps on recent data retrieval attempts"not made by himself and locked the door to the Hedge Lab so "prying eyes" won't become "prying fingers" (so not only spying on his work but also stealing it) - Which, at least to me, implies, yes: there is another team, but it's not someone from his Team (if he had any help whatsover except for BURG.L)
So they way I understand it, it's save to say "The Watcher" have been spying on Tully's work for a while now, but can't really make sense of it all since they can't figure out for what he'd need "leather" supplements.
And in Context with the thread I think it's also save to say, that we will (in future updates) be able to find more information about The Watchers (i.e. Strange Note 02) in the Haze Labs since (timeline wise) this is the next destination where he went.
I also find it interesting, that in the Haze Lab itself, there is a hole in the back of it, leading to a secret/hidden tunnel which doesn't seem like Tully to do something like that.
So this is my interpretation/take of where we'll find informations about The Watchers in the future - Sorry for the extra long post - I'm currently deep in the Grounded Lore, trying to piece it together in a coherent timeline of events. So I appreciate every input you can give me <3! - Thank you very much in advance!
Edit:
Also in another BTU Note (Outpost Note) he asked BURG.L if he took some of the SCA.B devices, since he had a dozen of them and now there's "naught but six" left. Which could've been The Watchers taking/stealing the SCA.Bs from him
Yeah that seems about right - I'm looking forward to the next content update! Thank you very much for your time and insight :)
