PTB Save Files

Can i opt into the ptb and use my current main save without loss of anything now or in the future when the update actually comes out? specifically people who have or know more about this, i know on their website they suggest new saves but my guess is this was referenced at a time when the ptb had actual world altering updates.

Yeah you can use an old save, I do currently.
