Just exactly where are you gonna put that Torch/Torch+/EverChar Torch buddy?
Wait, Wait, Wait... Do NOT tell me... Nope, Nope, Nope.
Yes.
--------
Just use the Firefly Helmet...
You are gonna HAVE to use it eventually, may as well get used to it sooner.
If you really NEED your full Armor Set bonus THAT much, it may be time to upgrade armor.
Would love to know when you HAVE to use that firefly helmet as I’ve gone through the whole game without it with no problems. Tried it when it first released however far back that was and hated the way it looked/felt as a light source.
If you don´t have anything smart to say, don´t post please. Thanks.
And fyi no you can´t replace set boni of armor with more armor upgrades. They are unique buffs that you only get when you wear the full set and I never said I need more armor either, that´s what perfect blocking is for.
Maybe educate yourself a bit on the game mechanics before you try to be funny and fail so badly in the process due to not knowing what you are talking about.
That should help if you still need any suggestions.
(Bring the ingredients and build them when you get there, they take up slots and it's far better to just count out the ingredients for 10 or 15 and walk away.( [I'm Building a Megabase so I've done stuff like this with my excess supplies I've hoarded]
Bro you are a tool. and clearly didnt play the entire game since you need light source for some underground parts if you truly want to complete everything. such a scrub, you have no idea what your talking about.
Clearly you aren't reading my comment closely enough. I never said you didn't need a light source. I said you didn't need the firefly helmet. And yes, I do know what I'm talking about.

As you can see combat in the dark is perfectly viable so long as you know what you're doing.
Right? Though that being said it does still help if you can discern some sort of body movement. The eyes give the location but you need to be able to slightly see how they are moving to know what's coming. That's how I got hit by that ox beetle (and that butt swing attack has a very subtle tell anyway most of the time).
That's just on default graphic settings too which sets gamma to somewhere in the 20s or 30s I believe? Personally, I prefer playing on much higher gamma for dark/underground sections. Mostly because this is a playthrough recorded for my channel and dark areas show up super dark on your phone and such without gamma cranked up to somewhere around 60 - 80.
