Broodmother first, learn the attack pattern, the widow has the same one but it's faster.

I still can't get why people have a hard time with Termite King... the hardest enemy so far for me is a Black Widow. It's harder than a Broodmother for me

the king himself is no issue its the getting to him that can be difficult. wading you way through about 100 termites in that little dark tunnel is tough

I don't think it matters that much. I had black widows on lock before I even figured out the brood mother existed

I have faced the Broodmother and did it first try, I actually came over prepared. I haven't faced the widows yet but from what I've seen they are much worse as they spend more time actually attacking, quicker, and poison with each hit other than after a certain phase.

Broodmother is easier because she actually has weaknesses to exploit. Bring a spicy sword and you'll down her plenty quick, which is for the best since you need her bits to fight the Mantis. But as far as combat goes, same kind of pattern. 5-hit combos to block and a fair number of adds to deal with. Friends make the fight easier, one focuses on crowd control while whoever's better at perfect blocking tanks the big spider.
