Unsure on grass growing back or not?

It's been a year or 2 since I've played so unless it was in a update or it's a bug, I swear grass used to grow back regardless if the stump/root was removed or not, am aware bases or things being placed on-top of the grass prevents it and i don't have issues with other things like weeds, but dry grass and normal grass seems to just not grow.

the grass and dry grass will always grow back if nothing is built after the cutting down to the roots. Maybe you didn't wait long enough?

Nah defo have, waited long enough to be in NG+1 and beaten it, for me at least, it's the small batch between the oak lab entrance and the juice box.
Testing some of the grass further away atm, unless the sap collectors I've set up are close, but they are next to the can, but good to know they do grow back, been wildin out why they have not grown back lmao.

Okay, after some testing, my grass only grew back if the stump/root was left after 2-3 days but didn't if I did removed the grass completely, unless this is intended, or it could be a bug.

imagine if the grass didn't grow if you cut it down to the root, then I wouldn't have any grass at all on the map on NG4+

they could never touch grass again, well you probaly never did if you got to ng+4 lets be honest-

I am having the same issue with the small patch of grass between the oak lab and the pond. Other grass I cut the root has grown back except for that small patch.

Yes you need to leave the stump now. That being said I have a couple weeds at different spots that have refused to regrow. Not sure why.
