Host not host both I dont get achievements and he too, crossplay + cuz game doesnt work without it, SP - no, but we got achievements before but stopped getting new ach-nts. I and my friend just stopped getting new achievements

we had also a problem - our save is very old (before shared world)

Solution for us:
load world in singleplayer
go to game settings and change (dont know the name of it) to "local plattform"
Save and exit
deactivate crossplay
load the saved game
=> achievements should pop

If you made any changes to the game (keep items on death, handy gnat on etc) it gets set to custom, with custom game you get no achievements

You have to connect your grounded to your xbox live account/windows account.

Disabling crossplay and re-enabling it often tends to work. Assuming you're logged into xbox live and assuming you aren't playing on custom difficulty.
