SPIDER REVENGE BASE ATTACK?

why is it that every time i kill an orb weaver 5 mins later my base is getting revenge attacked, is this normal and how do i stop them?

Raids are odd. Far as I’ve been able to tell you don’t ever truly lose their hatred of you and always seem to “want you gone.”

I’ve had tons of orb weavers raids even though by the time I was having them I hadn’t killed an orb weaver for several in game weeks.

There also isn’t really a way to stop raids. You can disable them if you’re in a custom game but if you aren’t and you’re already in a world and can’t change those settings you’re kinda screwed.

no problem pal, i do have another question if you could maybe help please.
i have been trying now for 3 real world days to get the insect hamer so i can collect all the molars i have passed and maybe get me some upgrades but i cannot get the last stinkbug part.

killing them is out of the question, i have died sooo many times now trying. i got the other three from the spider sacks but they just wont give me that elusive one that will give me the hammer. do you know of any other way to get that last part?

Nope, spider sacs or killing them is the only real source. Your only other option is to have another enemy fight them for you which does happen occasionally.

I would recommend going after the gas mask in the hedge lab.

What I did was put 4 spike traps along a little corridor between a root and the post wall near the Oak tree. Arrow it, let it follow across traps. Jump the root, run to other end. Hop back, shoot and get to cross the traps again. Repeat the other way.

Hi I dont know what difficulty do you have but, craft heal slurp and some bandage if you are not sure prepare some meal too, and perfect parry is the way to defeat most of mob, scan all mob for info what type weapon you need to for easier kill but in early game you dont have much option, master parry this is what you need to do :)

And to this bes option is build you base where this enemy cant go, I build first base on baseball ball, only flying enemy raid my base.

thanks for the help guys and yeah i have put my base on the garden wall were only flying insects can go and ziplining around.

There's a machine in the oak tree lab that can duplicate items for raw science. If you're really stuck you can try that.

Or you can lure one to the red ant hill and make them fight. Wearing red ant armour will make that easier.
Wolf spiders are also an option but more risky



And raids are also affected by where you spend time. Some hostile bugs have territory and staying there will slowly increase the faction anger. Your base is likely somewhere classed as spider territory

i built my first base next to the machine with tripods but that was a mistake so now im on top of the first wall leading to upper garden and that seems to have worked.
for some reason though my anthill has no eggs in and i dont understand why, any ideas?

Last I checked ants only lay eggs if they need to hatch more ants. You may need to take a day or two and cull the population a bit to get eggs to spawn.

thanks for the advice however i have had a very productive day and made loads of progress and yes that includes the insect hammer lol.
