Perma-death playthrough possible?
I played the game on and off through EA, but did not really have the chance to play post V 1.0 until now.

Obviously a perma-death run in EA was difficult is just for some of the bugs (no pun intended) you might encounter as well as game mechanic changes during development.

So here we are at V 1.0 and I am curious if you all think a perma-death run is feasible? Not considering Whoa difficulty at first, just a default difficulty run.

Possible? And any suggestions as to pitfalls to avoid? I would guess a slow and steady approach with the goal of being overly prepared for each encounter is the path to follow (as in most perm death runs).

For medium mode? Absolutely doable without over-stressing yourself. Are we talking 100% or any%?

Not too worried about 100% on a perma run. Good to know its possible so I will dive in.

Now do you think its possible on Whoaa after a normal run and getting familiar with the mechanics again?

You'll need to be more careful and a bit less dependent on certain mechanics (like pet buffs for example), but yeah a no-death whoa mode of course will be doable too once you've re-familiarized yourself with the game.

Dunno how far back into EA you were playing but creatures like infected wolf spiders for example aren't the instant death trap like they used to be where you could block an attack with a shield and still take lethal explosion damage. (They will still hurt like hell though if you take a hit)

Ladybird larva and black widows in particular will be the biggest threat as they can still end you quite quickly, so if you absolutely must fight them, don't get complacent.

Black widows and any of the bosses are the biggest problem for perma death. Possible in theory but be careful, especially on Whoa. Frankly on Whoa I don’t think it’s possible as black widows are too unpredictable and impossible to fully parry when they are speed buffed.
