Raw Science
I'm about to start a new play on max difficulty, but I'm trying to figure out what strategies would be best in certain areas.

Is the upgrade that helps you track raw science pickups worth it? Is there more than 5k worth of pickups in the world? Do they respawn after a time?

I'm having an awful time finding any markable data

AFAIK they do not respawn after picking them up. I’d say the scanner isn’t worth the science points unless you have nothing else to spend it on.

Most of the major science points will be in areas you’ll naturally explore as you go through the game. The ones that are more hidden are likely the ones not worth as much and not really worth the extra effort to track them down most of the time.

Doing your daily quests from BURGL is the best source of consistent science.
