How many pets can you have?
As the title says. My wife tamed an aphid, and now tries to tame a weevil as well, but it just doesn't work. It eats the mushroom slurry, and lots of it, but doesn't show up as pet.

Is it possible to have more than one pet at the same time?

its a % to be tamed i had to give 11 slurry for my weevil after my 2 aphid those took about 3-4 slurry and i tamed a gnat with 1 rotten slurry

Yes. I haven't tried taming any weevils yet, but I had 6 aphids at one time as pets. I currently have 2 aphids.
