How the @#% do you get out of the Undershed sinkhole?

So, I'm down there...and those mutant water fleas are no joke. Regardless, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get back out.
Unless the only way is through that spooky spider hole....I really wanted to return to base for the night without continuing into unexplored territory (my inventory is full and it's almost dark out).

There's a perilous jump nearby if you climbed on some power cable housings and met up with a gap closed only by a bent nail....
There's a quarter sticking out of that pvc pipe you just drop on to. Enjoy the scarabs--they can only run but not hide.

There is a much easier way.
Once you enter the undershed immediately jump on the pipe to your right, then follow the wall all the way past the broken part until it dips into the sinkhole.
You can jump onto it there from the cliff edge and run back to the broken part to drop into it from above.

Hugging the wall like that also lets you dodge all enemies except for a couple of dust mites and a single black ox beetle (which you'll have to fight in the pitch dark or with a lightsource of your own, but you're coming at it from a rock it can't climb onto if you want to cheese it).
