Funny thing is if you're playing Grounded in another language some of the bugs have completely different names. For example the Ladybug is called the Asian Ladybeetle iirc and the Roly Poly is called a Woodlouse. I only know this because I ended up watching YouTube video of a French player. It's possible that OP plays the game in a different language, so therefor one of the bugs might be known as a bedbug instead of say a dust mite or something.
It's also possible the area they're referring to is called something different as well. Canyon of Bedbugs is obviously not something in the English version of the game.
If that's the case, I didn't use anything at all to face them, just dodged or blocked them and killed them quickly. I'm wearing the termite chest now, which...I think helps against them. BUt my first time down there I went in without any dust protection at all.
