Farming Pupa Hide, locations?

Is there a better place to farm Pupa hide other than the canyon area just south of the Wood pile?
I find it a real PITA to get it there, as half of them are up in places that are a pain to reach without building a network of stairs and bridges, which I'd rather not do if there is a better place to farm it 'later' that I just haven't gotten to yet.

I'm just past having done the woodpile in my game, but any answer that involves something farther than I am in the game is still a good answer, as it gets me out of building those stairs and bridges.

the best place so far I have found is the undershed sinkhole along the sides are an insane amount of them. when I farm for twinkling shells, I always stop by down there to grab some pupa.

Nah, you didn't really spoil anything (imo). At least not for me. At the point I'm at in the game I have seen the entire yard from overhead as I use zip lines to get around.

Under the shed porch where the Ladybirds roam. The left side has a grouping of roughly 9 - 12. There's a group or two in the middle, and another couple on the right side. All of them hanging from the underside of the porch. Have to use your crossbow or throw pebbles at them.

I won't say much then but the upper yard and undershed is where I now spend most of my time. They outdid themselves in this area of map design imo.

OMG, I did not know I could get them by shooting them or throwing a pebble...I thought I had to get up to them to harvest. Thank you, for this tip!

You're welcome. First time I ran across them, I had no idea how I was going to get to them so high up and hoped I didn't have to build up to them. I saw some pebbles on the ground and gave it a shot.

If someone tells me you can knock gum off from under the porch the same way, I'm going to cry. I built a whole network of stairs and bridges under there for that gum.

Happy to say I farmed all the Pupa that were under there, thanks to your advice @Lemonjello, and have enough to craft what I was wanting to make, all before going into the Undershed. \o/

P.S. Typing your name made me hungry for Lemon Jell-O.

Nope! I just went and shot some gum with an arrow. You get a message that says "Requires a digging tool".

LOL, I'm actually glad to hear that, seeing as I spent quite a bit of time building access to all that gum. It all respawns, pretty fast, and is conveniently close to my base, so I really felt the need to get to it.
