i want to get all the gold cards... i got the aphid but i don't know how to get them exactly

what does RNG mean?

RNG means "Random Number Generator". You have a chance to get it each time you loot an enemy for which you don't already have the gold card.

I kill every wolf spider I see every time I see one and have about 150 hours on this save, so you are right that it might take a while for that one.

one you kill the first one , you get a mutation that makes it easier to kill them. but, the chances of a gold card is still random. you could get it on the first try. you never know.

Here is the answer from Obsidian Support:

When it comes to Gold Cards from ordinary creatures have a 1% chance of being obtained from corpses. Repeatable Bosses cards have a 10% chance of being obtained from respective corpses. The Infected Broodmother, while being a repeatable boss, has only a 5% chance of being obtain from its corpse. Bosses that can only be fought once (Assistant Manager, Director Schmector, Mant) will always drop their Gold Card on death, regardless of if they've been PEEP'ed beforehand.
