The large, flat rock to the left of the oak tree near the edge of the wood wall.
The upper roots in front of the oak tree.
Some build out to and station onto a lily pad on the pond, or even the pagoda structure further into the water.
Area near the front of the sandbox
The rocks on the stone path on the western side of the map.
The baseball (can’t remember if they made it an unbuildable surface or not now. If they did then ignore this one).
Honestly most places are workable as a base location with some effort. To get floor pieces to make a flat surface you’re going to have to buy the upgrade from the BURGL terminals. I think it’s called multi level bases or something similar. Will cost a bit of raw science but not too much.
Also, don’t get too hung up on deciding where your perfect, ultimate base will be. You will likely build multiple bases throughout your playthrough so you don’t need to decide which one to truly make your main base until later. A place to sleep, a roasting spit, workbench, and some storage early game will last you for awhile.
I did not mention those as wolf spiders from under the tree can roam that area now.
