Anyway, I can see why it wouldn't matter if you launched it or not. The arrows are a static item that does not vanish, allowing you reclaim it later. I kinda like that mechanic, honestly. It means if I make the effort and take down a big spider, I have a good chance to get my ammo back.
However, I think they need to add some sort of de-spawning system. I haven't had any FPS issues or anything because I generally trash items I don't need, which is a little bother some and annoying. Though there are cases where I just see piles of water/juice drops that I drink them to make them go away.
You sure they go away on their own? I mean I've come across some big bubbles and more than one at the same spot.
Edit: I've never ran to a juice box that never had any juice for me to drink.
I've seen it happen. There are X number of drops at once time, that can merge with each other. But the juice box drips several times per day.
Each may remove a previous drop from the ground, meaning there is always something to drink unless you gobble it all up. Just a guess, of course. But because I have seen them sort of shrink into oblivion, I know they do vanish.
You could always build a 'bucket' to catch and merge all the drops. I'd be curious if the whole thing vanished once in a while.
There's that one bent juicebox that was getting the gaggle of droplets, but that was it.
From a game fresh this week, I built an outpost by the lawn light on the oak, that endless water supply on the nearby leaf never seems to accumulate more than four or so droplets in the world, and when I leave the area and return, it starts anew from one drop.
Sorry for the derail OP. Great info, thanks.
To fire lure arrows you need to be there. A lure trap works whether you're there or not.
I didn't fire any arrows. I dropped them. Then picked up all but one, leaving a single arrow LIKE A LURE TRAP that was still drawing enemies half an hour later, LIKE A LURE TRAP.
Whether firing/dropping an arrow, or setting a lure trap, you still have to be there to drop/set up/build one. Your comment doesn't even make sense. Can you somehow set lure traps while being nowhere near?
Maybe in time the lure effect will wear off like venom does or gas.. then you'll need to fire them.. the lure trap keeps them at the location the arrows not so much. But sure.. for now in this Early Access game they kinda do work like traps..
What are ya complaining about? And Lure Traps look nice.
