And like he said it's a good idea to stockpile who knows what we can buy in the future!
I know there are labs in the branches of the tree, but I also know there are strong spiders up there. So I'm probably a long ways off.
Are the point upgrades strong enough to make the farm worth it? Like it isn't just a 5% increase?
You can completely avoid the wolf spiders in the oak tree area. Even if you don't you can run inside the lab and they cannot follow. There are 2-5 wolf spawns that I know of near oak tree. 2 are inside the middle of oak tree(you dont have to go there to enter lab). 1-2 some times patrolling around the tree. 1 sleeping.
Don't limit yourself be brave. Complete the first part of the story and you will see an explosion. Afterwards you can then go investigate the oak tree.
Yes point upgrades are worth the farm to purchase.
Eyepatch+ gives same benefits as regular eyepatch(+attack) but also gives +Attack Stamina. So for example with mint mallet you can only swing 3 times before OutofStamina, with eyepatch+ you can swing 4 times. Worth
Canteen+ canteen can hold I think 3 more drops of liquid. Some amount like that.
Floors:crucial
Sturdy walls, etc:not necessary but nice option
Once you unlock the shop you'll know whats worth your own personal time.
Do I have to hunt the chips down before I can get the upgrade? Or does the vendor already have the 4 listed in the guide I was looking at?
I'm sitting on 1220 science points, which isn't nearly enough for all 4. Especially with the 5k one...
I'm heading to bed, but I'll hunt for it when I get up.
There are currently 3 chips in the game. 2 of them will get you upgrades. one is next to the robot on floor, one is in the ant hill food chamber and one that gives nothing is in a secret lab in hedge You'll need about 15000 pts to buy everything roughly.
From my perspective of many years of gaming and being over 50+...games break down into 2 Major Phases: Killing and Collecting
Raw Science is within the 'collection' paradigm.
BURG.L chips = category of upgrade available-what cool things you can do next-->collected via visiting Game Locations
Raw Science = currency to 'purchase' the available upgrades-->collected via finishing BURG.L quests AND/OR finding it in Game Locations
BURG.L tapes = Lore of the game/backstory-->collected via Game Locations
...hope this helps.
For this gamer, there is some small 'confusion' between BURG.L 'tapes' and 'chips'...ahem.
Oh, then there are the SCAB.I items, UI 'skins'-->collected via visiting Game Locations...yet another somewhat confusing item, not really used in 'game play'--used for changing your Game UI, in the Day/Night Cycles...
All 4 of those came from the chip near the vendor.
Do the other two chips unlock anything? Because after doing the quests, I'm only about 2k from buying the 5k option.
