What to do with extra bug parts?

I know you used to be able to make them into smoothies but now it seems you can only make existing recipes?? Am I missing something?

A lot of different bug parts have uses later down the line. Smoothies are a good one, but some pieces are used for repair gel, and others for crafting plating and whetstone when you unlock those recipies.

That being said, I really wish there were more uses for acid glands....

I have so many weevil noses and acid glands, you used to be able to make random parts into slop smoothies but that seems to be removed now??
