Can't Log In to XBox Live

I just bought this game for me and a friend on the Steam Sale. We installed the game, but neither of us were able to log in to XBox Live from the game. We see an "XBox Network Login" button, we go through a login (which is sometimes a black box, sometimes a weirdly huge XBox logo with a tiny log in button in the corner, and sometimes a regular login screen), and after we go through the login process, we see we're still logged out, and the "Xbox Network Login" button is still present. We're both using a Windows PC and play other games with Xbox Live requirements like Sea of Thieves, and those work.

This is very disappointing because apparently we can only play together if we can log in. Is this a known issue? I see many forum posts over the last year with similar problems, but I am surprised that it happened to both of us today and was wondering if maybe this was a global problem?

* Finally acknowledge the Issue; Declared a Major Outage (duh)
* No Idea what's causing it - Investigation Continues (1600 ET)

* No ETA for a Fix (it's now 1915 ET)

Just keep sticking Pins in your Microsoft Voodoo Dolls, maybe that'll help.

My friend and I really like playing open world survival games (7days/Valheim) together and in the year+ that we've both had Grounded, we have NEVER been able to play it together.

We literally left it 6 months between our most recent attempt and the previous, with no success. it seems to be a lucky dip on whether or not anyone can actually play multiplayer on any given day

It's dumb, that you need a Xbox-Live Account, while you are playing on PC. My Friends and I wanted to play yesterday, because they are new to this Game, but it won't let me log in to this f*** Xbox Network ♥♥♥♥.
I'm trying now for 15 mins, but I can't get in... :(

there's a link on that page somewhere... maybe in a menu? idk... i didn't follow it... i only grabbed it from the discord post by one of the devs, i think... maybe one of the mods... there's another one that starts off exactly the same and adds more portions to it but i don't have a copy of it... that's also why i think it may be in a menu on that page...

Here's a fix for ppl to try as this worked for me and my partner after having issue's.

1. Once in game log into your microsoft account via the F1 log in - In Grounded
2. Once this is done it still will show you as offline - Load your game but DO NOT go into the game stay in the Lobby
3. Get your friends to log in once in grounded
4. Then you ( the host ) must invite people over steam into your lobby
5. Only once you have all your friends in the same Lobby then and only then you can start the game.

Found this to work the best even when you cannot see your friends or cannot even invite thru the grounded menu system.
