Cross play does not work

I’m trying to play with a friend on PS5 and can’t because PC players don’t have an “add crossplay friend” and I just assume cross play is automatically on, we also have eachother friended in Xbox live, but it still doesn’t show

This needs a solution. I need something, we just can’t play with eachother even though we have done everything we can

Same thing is happening with me as well I’ve tried everything and nothing is working. Both spent money on the game just to play with each other and it not work.

That doesnt say anything at all for helping playstation users joining PC games. It literally only talks about xbox live

...Good to see the pictures were completely useless...

Ok. So the game is built off connecting via xbox's network, just like with minecraft, so even nintendo switch and PS5 players need to link an Xbox account in order to match with other people on other platforms. The link provided shows you how to do this.

In order to play cross play with ps5, the ps5 user needs to sign into a Microsoft account on their end IN GAME and then you both need to add each other as friends via Microsoft account, and be both be set as " online" for your status. You wont be able to join them if they're set to offline and vice versa because you're unable to invite one another..

one of you hosts a world and sets a password( preferably the ps5 player) and the other joins via " game bar" extension which can be access by pressing windows key + G, if you have the extension installed. You can find them on your friends list via gamebar, right click their profile and under " game" an option to join game will be available.

if they attempt to invite you, it might not work as you likely wont appear on their friends list on ps5, in some games like sea of thieves ps5 folks can invite uwp users though. so mileage may vary on invites.

I've been replaying the game, with a ps5 friend that just bought it last night, with no issues. We got a new save up in less than a minute.
