* There's a LOT going on in Moldorc's Castle; perhaps adding Base Parts wasn't a good idea

* The Dev's just didn't wanna allow building in an (essentially) Raid-immune area...
I agree that it would be a cool base location (with annoying neighbors), but there you go.
You may bypass any invalid Surface issues by building your own Valid Surface and bringing it on over
So you'll need to bring over a floor from the side of Moldorc and build from there.
Additionally, you'll want to make this double wide or add more bridges all across Moldorc because if all of the bridges collapse- so does your kingdom.
So, there you *actually* go :)
(Edit: You can also add supports that reach down into the side rock for extra support and safety- so even if the floor breaks there is some scaffold holding up the rest of the bridge.)
