Enemies in ng+2 shred through my health even on mild

My bf, our friend, and i have been having fun, eventhought the ups and downs its been alright, but we went into ng+2 last night and i went to fight some upper yard creatures for cones and the damage they deal is insane! Mind you this is with assassion helmet and greaves, and chestplate of the mother demon all +9 with the mutation that gives stabbing and slashing resist, so im chugging down smoothies over and over again(good thing i duped em before ng+2)

I just gotta ask, how do you do it? I mean we are on mild and struggling(atleast i am, they have poly polly armor so i dont know), i cant imagine the higher difficulties, i was thinking of getting a science waffle/cone with damage resist on it but only time will tell bc thats just rng but yeah any advice would be mighty appriecated :3

This is partially why I haven’t moved into NG+ yet. I feel the difficulty spike is too much and no armor upgrades is one of the stupidest decisions that they made with this update.

The no armor upgrade is very very dumb, and i dont know why we cant, it works off the same system as weapon upgrades, and it would make the game not parry spam

Also something else i realized, the game designers must want this party spm, since all of the new weapons are two handers and the shield nerf, why would you ever want to use a shield? All these new shiny weapons dont allow it, and if you do your doing less damage bc of the shield debuffing your attack, but yeah you would expect us to be able to upgrade our defenses if the devs dont want us blocking but nooooooo we cant upgrade armor for some reason

Honestly, a friend and I are on ng+2 and the one thing that keeps frustrating us is the insane damage that the infusions do. For example, if you have sour infused anything expect to die alot.

I get it, NG+ is more difficult but a bit more balance needs to be put in place for enemies and bosses under NG+4

the fact that enemies can have wizard mutations now is downright ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i have 400 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ health and i get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ two shot from it, my smoothies cant even come off cooldown before i die......can you tell i just died a bunch? :<

So I jumped on a bit and the only thing I can say is try getting damage resist charms. With the buffs they got today, they are quite needed. I was running with a life leach / finale stamina surge waffle and as soon as I found a damage resist charm, I could instantly tell the difference.

Im just gonna relax with my bf and our friends on some raft tomorrow, yknow chill out, and just let grounded get some actual balance updates before going back

plus we have been playing grounded for like 2 weeks straight so was getting little boring, but thank you venix, we will try, my bf even said it was a more relaxing game so lets hope :3

Damage resist charms make you take 50% less damage so they're vital in NG+. I'd also recommend widow armour if you have enough materials to craft it - it gives 10 seconds of massive regen after killing anything (even aphids) except player summons

i wish i had any of em but i probably dedupered em without thinking, and i think its ridiculous you have to have a trinket that makes you take 50% less damage to not get two tapped

btw that anger isnt directed at you jack, but instead at the game devs makin the game, your advice was actually helpful so thank you for the suggestion

I agree with the NG+ being too extreme. Its very demoralizing when a glowing mite shows up, jumps into the fight and I get insta killed by the magic procs.
I think we need to be able to upgrade armor, or at the very least add resistances to armor, maybe we could infuse a trinket into armor or something idk.

i wish the fusion crystals actually fused things togethor....yknow like your example of infusing trinkets into armor, just for the love of god just make it so we can upgrade our armor, its ridiculous that we cant
