Wasp Queen - "Woah" Difficulty - NG+ (level 1)
Is there anyone out there who has completed the wasp queen on "woah" difficulty (hard mode) in new game plus level 1?

My buddy and I have had a play through going since start on "Woah" difficulty and have never experienced such a hard time with a boss. I have about 200 attempts on her, and the 2 of us together have about 100 attempts. We simply CANNOT get her once she's below 25% health. She spawns adds that continually get stronger throughout the fight and she increases the number of adds she spawns throughout the fight and increases the frequency of add spawns, and her defence goes up throughout the fight.

Ar we missing something? We have tried every conceivable build, mutation, and strategy in this fight and we are at a loss at this point. We are seriously convinced this fight is not beatable with 2 people. Our abilities become meaningless by the time she is at 25% health.

I get it that lots of people are beating her on normal difficulty, but my question is for people who have beat her on hard mode in NG+ (1).

I haven't fought her on whoa NG+ but I think in NG+1 the adds die in three ticks of damage (amount of damage doesn't matter) so an aoe ranged weapon and a ranged cut trinket should help a lot (or damage resist trinket and moth armour) as the bleed damage ticks once a second - hit them once and forget about them.

Other than that I've found widow armour pretty useful for the massive regen on kill.

Later NG+ will stop the three hit kill on adds though so good luck after that

I used gas arrows on the adds for the three tics. Worked great and they don’t do enough self damage that it matters. That being said, as you mentioned, they eventually lose this weakness and I think the game will definitely be impossible at that point.

Ya that's the problem. In whoa difficulty, they start out dying in 3 ticks, but throughout the fight they start taking 5, then 7, then 10, then 15. When she's at 25%, some of them take 15 hits to bring down. Me and my buddy were using super gas arrows throughout the entire fight and they are useless that far into the fight. I am genuinely not sure if she is even beatable on whoa difficulty in NG+ 1. This is why I'm asking. We are at a total loss as to what Obsidian expects people to do on this fight.

I have level 9 Brood mother armor, buddy has level 9 rolly polly. We are excellent on our perfect blocks. We just simply can't pump out enough damage to bring her adds down in time to kill her. We are using salt weapons. We have tried salt one handed and shield, salt arrows, super gas arrows, every mutation combination under the sun. I will tell you, if the adds died in 3 ticks that late into the fight, we would have beaten her by now.

Yeah, Archangel and I tried for hours together, over and over, two days in a row. got her down to two or three bars a few times and then just couldn't kill the adds quick enough before she spawned another 5, sometimes we'd have to work on 3 different waves of adds before we could even get to her.

The hits for adds scale up as the fight goes on? Wow, first I'd heard that. That sounds unbeatable already. Only thing I knew was far enough into the new game+ cycle they stopped insta dying all together and were like any normal wasp or drone in the yard.
