Green Shield Bug

Are these still bugged and prevented from spawning in raids? I want the gold card, but having only 2 respawn areas and not being able to spawn in a raid (so far) has made this and the infected butt spider infuriatingly hard to get gold on.

I have successfully spawned them (inadvertently - wanted only normal stinkbugs) in a waft-induced raid on a pre-1.3 save. They have previously also been confirmed on a post-1.3 save.

Use a waft with either 1 stinkbug gas sack together with (2 stinkbug gas sacks or 5 stinkbug parts or 1 green shield bug part), or just 1 super stink sack. This will get you either 1 green shield bug or 3 stinkbugs.

No luck getting one to spawn. Tried 2 stinksacks, 1 super sac + 1 shield bug, 1 super sac + 1 stink bug, 2 super sac, and even a last ditch attempt of 15 super stink sacs. The latter I did 10 times and just watched. No green shield bugs. :(

Hadn't seen your reply until now, so perhaps this has been resolved since, but: have you progressed far enough in the story? There's apparently a gate in the story for them to become available in raids (which is what the bug revolved around).

Of course, my observation is a typical n=1 scenario, aka incidental. It only confirms that there is no guaranteed, consistent bug. I hope you can progress past this, nonetheless.

Nope, no resolution sadly. I tried several more times, so unless they're just insanely rare in raids (which wouldn't make em much better than farming their respawns), it's not worth it for me personally. :(
