Places to farm various candies?

Im trying to get my hands on the corresponding trinkets for mint shards and hot chachas and i swear they dont respawn at all in the lower yard. I havent seen any respawn in the trash heap, the ant hill, the haze, or the lower yard. Any advice is appreciated. All the online guides for farming these things are from 2 years ago and seem out of touch with the current state of the game.

They respawn in the sandbox, down in the Antlion tunnels. Hot Cha Chas and Salt and Mints. Also there are three food spawns which can be hot dog for the Everlasting Hogstopper. (Or Fresh Apple, Hot Dog and Cookie bits for Human Food)

Also, you can dig at the sparkles you see in daytime, and can dig up Hot Cha Chas and Mints and Salt, though you mostly get chests with those things in them, plus cooked meals.

I go there every few days.

Sours, you have to be in the upper yard, though.

The only positions where they don't respawn are the boxes in which you find multiple of them. Every other place where they lay down on themselves will eventually respawn.

Also keep in mind, that once you've activated the item finding antenna, that you can search for spicy shards, which you can use to verify, if something already got respawned.
