All Gold Cards for 100%
All Gold Cards for 100% is a funny joke, not.
The rest for the 100% is exploration and therethrough kinda fun, still takes alltogether already a lot of effort, but this super grind mission? Guys, you have a strange humor on Obsidian Entertainment.

You need to place the waft emitter in a good place. There's a small opening near the pond area up against the wooden stumps, where the mobs funnel through. You can just stand at the entrance and take them on 1 by 1. I even kill 6-8 Black oxes this way to farm horns. On Woah! mode of course.

The Waft Emitter is by far not working for all creatures, not for bosses, not for neutrals and friendlys and also not for some aggressive like water flees. Sure, bring the waft emitter in the discussion, but at least also speak about its uselessness on around half of the creatures.

You can go WAY WAY past the 50 kills that 2% should pay out. My highest was those T2 Water Fleas. I got the Gold Card on my 273rd kill, which is insane.

This idea is reasonable and would make it by far less annoying, still though, that the gold cards shouldnt realy belong to the 100%, since they have nothing to do with discovering like all the other things to do for it.

The waft emitter can't summon about 1/4 or 1/3 of the creatures. Not half. The neutral creatures have plenty of spawns except for fireflies perhaps, since you have to wait for night time.

My biggest issue is it can take up to an insane amount of kills to get a gold card. On some mobs I have almost 500 kills and no gold card. There's should be a point after x amount of kills you should get a gold card 100%

We got now gold card of bombardirs, only 608 was needed, easy peasy. Black Widows now already at 204. But the best of all is by far the Termite King, 18 kills so far and nothing. Not spawnable and a whooping 1% dropchance with a respawntime of 3 days.

Termite King is spawnable, though I think it's bugged. I had it spawn a few times with it's carcass but then there are some times where it doesn't spawn and only termites.

The achievement does not need the gold cards. You only need all cards unlocked. This is how I got the achievement.
Update: I need to correct myself. They really changed it with 1.3. Now you need all cards gold. Cannot believe it. That's hard - and not fair cause I got it before the update with minimal effort in comparison!

I found my old spreadsheet where I was tracking kills. I was so far off in my last comment.

My highest kill counts for Gold Cards were much higher than 273.

Water Flea was 433.
Lawn Mite was 346.

That's 9 times as many kills as it should have taken for Water Fleas, and 7 times as many kills as it should have taken for Lawn Mite. That's why a pity system would be nice. Imagine having to kill 433 Black Widows or more to get the Gold.
do you have a save file for sharing? nobody should ever, EVER, go through this much nonsese..

I just built a new computer recently and didn't have cloud saves turned on, but didn't realize that until I had wiped the old machine. So I don't have any of my old saves :(

I am doing okay on my new run though. I have gotten 17 Gold Cards using the Waft Emitter so far.
Requiring ALL gold cards to 100% the game is beyond ridiculous. I have around 350 orb weavers and similar amounts of orb weaver jrs killed, over 600 spiderlings!! And yet no gold card for either.
Not to mention creatures with painful spawn timers like the termite king.

Grinding. For. The. Sake. Of. Grinding. Is. Not. Fun.
Please revert this or at least make it bearable.

The Infected Brood Mother is too much in particular. My understanding is normal bosses are 10% and IDM is 5%. That seems backwards to me. I can't even kill her on medium. My hopes of 100% end right there. I don't see myself farming that card. It ruined my fun.
For 100% they should require maxed mutations (minus the multiplayer one). Trapper Peep.R 3 requires 60 gold cards, leaving only 4 gold cards unfound. That seems reasonable enough to continue. Either that or adjust the rng.

I wish I had caught this in time. All I had to do was the Javamatic Defense. I was just holding back completion for Trapper Peep.R level 3. I should have just finished. I had 100%.

And yes kinda the same situation for me and my teammate, we basically had everything except a few molars and 1 scab, which we would have get, if we played 1-2 hours more but then the update came in.....

Was this confirmed in a datamine or something cause all the patch notes say is "Improved drop rates" which doesn't necessarily mean the gold card.

You are right, it didnt. I might have mixed it up with the Meaty Gnat where it says drop rate improved 10x

I know this is a month old but this is incorrect. This was data mined and correct on the Grounded Wiki (as of 12/12/2023): "Repeatable Bosses and the Meaty Gnat cards have a 10% chance of being obtained from respective corpses. The Infected Broodmother, while being a repeatable boss, has only a 5% chance of being obtain from its corpse."

And I still say that is just backwards.

To follow up, I've been hunting my last 10 gold cards every day since I last posted and I've only found TWO more. I still have 8 left including: Wasp Drone, Infected Wolf Spider, Termite King and IBM.

I'm over 360 Ticks killed - no card. I can't even seem to get Trapper Peep.R lvl 3.
