Your best friend are healing items. If you've not done it yet, maybe do the pond lab first and get some muscle sprouds, which allow you to make stronger smoothies.

Other than that you can make a few red ant clubs, which you can throw towards the enemies, which is very effective even if the electric fields limit your movement.

As for the laser, you can hide behind the electric pillars, as long as they're not activated, while for the electricity it is best to stand at the middle of any wall (you might also be able to stand next to the laser pillar, but obviously if it gets activated, then it gets way harder)

If you need more tips, then it might be good to tell, what you've the most problems with

What's your current weapon/armor ? I also just beat him recently. I was wearing T3 Antlion armor set and using antlion t3 weapon, and shooting t2 crow crossbow in between dodging the lasers.

Healing item works best for tanking a bit especially at 25% health boss, just tank the damage and keep hitting until the last blow. I think I was using the wafers and I had roasted aphid in one slot, these help adding a chunk of hp, but I wasn't prepared when I went in, maybe healbasa would help more with it.

When avoiding laser I prefer to stay in middle it's easier to run away from and see where the attack is coming from.

You can also ignore the minions and run away from them. Only hit them when you're cornered by them.

When it tries to blast you, you can just bounce the energy bubbles away by blocking with a shield.

just sit behind one of the pilars and use your bow.
It's that easy, even on whoa!
Did it many times until the game got glitched.

Salt arrows really put the hurt on him.

Shield can help with the electrical attacks letting you block them. You'll want a ranged weapon of some kind as by the end the electric pillars and laser attacks overlap so much you rarely can approach him for melee attacks. There are safe areas for the electric arcs. It's shaped like a + sign with the laser pillar at the middle of the +. It's a pretty narrow safe zone but it's there.

i am underleveled then...
i am using a t2 upgrade 4 javelein (bone trident) and a black ant shield.
i am using black ant armor and also have a sus ice cap. any more ideas?

ice cap doesnt work agianst him. at least go with t3 armor, easy ones to get are fire ant and antlion armor. i recommand fire ant. take at least 5 beefy green machines and some bandages and you should be able to beat it. red ant or even better fire ant club would be the weapon to go for me

If you're comfortable farming them antlions in the sandbox give the earliest easily accessible T3 armor and the antlion greatsword is a god tier weapon all the way to end game. If you don't want to go that route ladybug armor is very good for that point in the game. I stuck with ladybug, ant club, and crow crossbow for Whoa and did just fine.

The problem isn't so much the levels, but more that you're using a bone trident to begin with. With that you've a -50 % damage debuff, since robots are resistant to stabbing damage. Rather use busting weapons like the insect hammer to get some extra damage. Alternatively slashing weapons like a spider fang dagger can also work (the boss has also slashing resistance, but only -25 %, making it more effective than stabbing, if you don't feel comfortable with the slow hammer)

Also under some of the burried antlions you've quite a big reservoire of salt, which you can craft into salt arrows for when you want to attack from a distance.

I just charged him as he dropped down and waylaid him until he moved out of range, then mopped up his pests, switched to a Mosquito Needle + Shield, and used the vampire properties to stay healed. Wore full red ant if I recall, but it has been a while.
