Bleed takes care of most of the self healing they do.
The Sharpshooter effect causes Spicy to apply a burn DoT.
Friendly reminder to always check your new recipes and what they do.

Luckily I haven´t made those arrows yet and won´t bother now after seeing how useless they are and yes I agree the wasps are not fair play.
My experience as well. It took several shots to bring them down, then by the time you run over to them to melee, they take off again. Maybe in co-op it would be useful, one person grounds them, the others rush in.
The regular Wasps are fine, I've had no issues with them, but the Drones are just awful design. Not fun to play against, and just tedious and time consuming fights. Messed with them enough to get into the box and get the loot, but I think I'm done fighting them if I can avoid it.
The one saving grace I've found is the Wasp Drone patterns are exceptionally easy to read. The figure 8 healing move will always end on the same location they launched, and they're pretty stationary otherwise, which does let me blast a few shots into them to keep chipping them down, but I'm fully geared for offensive magic (R9 Wizard Hat/Moth Armor & Legs, R8 staves), so I can imagine anyone less geared would find it nearly impossible to out-damage their healing.
Drones should not be more challenging than Black Ox Beetles in 1 on 1s.
I don't find that they are that difficult, killed over 20 wasps and drones so far, but I guess they are supposed to spread throughout the yard, and that doesn't sound fun.
how do you kill wasp drones, which weapon do you use? maybe some tactics?
Just after my post I had a wasp raid at my base, with 3 drones, it was a bit crazy. I didn't bother with the pollen arrows at all.
I do have mostly end game gear/stats which certainly helps. My fighting strategy so far: a level 8 ox crossbow with salt arrows, level 9 morning star, level 9 roly poly armor (or latest fights level 7 wasp). I have everything maxed with molars so full health, stamina. Mutations that matter were meat shield, buff lungs, cardio. Does mithridatism help or is that just spiders? I'll have to try it. I still haven't tried setting up mutation loadouts. Anyway, after their first hit I'll use a waspidote, and then beefy fuzz if needed. In the box it might be a little easier, since you can find places to duck under to they can only come at you from one direction.
