Ants eating through walls/floor still?

So as the title says, I know this was a problem back in the EA days but now? I just saw a ant eat through the roof (my floor) to eat the stuff that was on the cooking fire.

Is it beacause my roof is not done yet so it doesen't count as a house or is it just still a bug that they can't fix?

Is it a spider or is it an ant? As your title says ant but then you mentioned spider, I always build on the lily pads nothing can get your stuff there but I’m guessing if you do a couple of floors and don’t have your cooking spit right by a wall it should be safe, or build an outer perimeter wall around your base to stop things getting up close but yea I think if you have your spit on the ground floor right by the wall the ants can still eat through the wall

Don't put foods/containers too close to the exterior. Also build spike traps they die quickly on those.

@Padgey My bad, I didn't even know I wrote spider... It was an ant and I have edited that now!

@happygiggi That's the thing that is so weird for me. The floor that the cooking fire is on is 1 grass wall high so it was not even close to the ground. So you could say it magically chewed on the food that was like 2 kids in hight away
