No automated variant and not very useful, maybe when there's a payback event. Personally, I built them but I never used them (just 2 or 3 times to test).

I kinda wish turrets were automated. We found a use for aphids and gnats, maybe mount a weevil on top and let it shoot? Let us unlock it's recipe like how we get the zippy upgrade? That would be cool.

I just found out they make nice bunkers, if you are cornered unexpectedly like by 3 mosquitoes. And you can shoot back.

I use the pollen shot to ground the skeeters but otherwise never

Acorn turrets are actually very useful against big bugs in defense events. I enjoy using round ammunition, but there is more to discover.

I would like a mod where you can recruit an army of Weewills, strap a helmet on them and have them man turrets!
