you can play alone or with a dedicated group of up to 4.
(oh and the teens are just cosmetic/roleplay, they are replaceable from pure gameplay perspective)
I hop into random games every once in a while as Woody and cut down a forest or two to help out the team, or I make a super kitchen with 8 Crock pots for their convenience.
Interacting with others, helping, leaving once you're bored and they're set. I don't see why this game couldn't have a longer form of that.
As far as I know this wouldn’t work. I haven’t played multiplayer but I think your character is tied to the world save. So for example your idea of jumping in and out of random people’s worlds your character would be starting from scratch every time.
However, there is a doscord server where you can find people.
