Field stations not being "Discovered"
I currently have two field stations that won't activate when I go to them and I was wondering if there's a way to fix that. It's not any sort of big issue or anything, just mildly obnoxious.

They'll get discovered if you get close to them, but the ones that have been giving me trouble, I have interacted with the equipment there with no luck, so it rules that out at least.
sounds like a bug on your computer. did you try to verify files on steam?

I usually stare at them for like 5-10 seconds and that discovers them, but i got one that is on the map but still appears on my SCA.B as undiscovered.

They get discovered as a Landmark when you see them clearly.
They stop pinging your SCA-B when you interact with the Analyzer.

It was a combination of verifying and then interacting with the analyzer that got it to finally work for me, thanks for the help.

Just saw this thread. Yeah, it's the analyzer, I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what it was myself during my first week of play.

I'm 100% positive I interacted with them before, it was also a thing of I didn't get the fading in "Discovered Field Station" message, so maybe something wasn't working right on my end, but I did test it on a station I hadn't visited yet and yes hitting the analyzer is what gets it off the SCA-B.

Also this is like 20+ hours into my second playthrough of the game...I have no excuse. I also just learned the proper way to get up onto the picnic table on this playthrough that doesn't involve building a giant scaffold tower, so it's apparently quite easy to overlook stuff lol

to be fair, everything's so big in comparison to yourself that it makes it really hard to see what you're supposed to do half the time

everybody knows that the actual path to the birdbath is literally broken and has been broken for months because for some reason somebody deleted the other half of the zipline you're supposed to fix

I figured out how to get to the bird bath by parkouring onto the leaves that are to the left of the branch with the single zipline lol

Also is that why there is only one zipline side? I had assumed that I was supposed to try and build another zip to get to that, but I'm now realizing in my head, isn't that section of the hedge only accessible with the first zipline, meaning I can't bring stems to build up there? That feels like such a weird thing to overlook, especially since there's a SCA-B and mega molar to get there. Can that zip be reached from below, or is that a non functioning zip line type not accessible with the buildable one?

oh, i thought that was meant to be like that. it's possible to bring stems there if you really try

I did NOT know THAT.

I also just double checked this because I was thinking about that busted zipline earlier, but you cannot attach anything to it from the ground lol Such a weird thing to them have completely forgotten about this long past release.
