Question about Wendell (SPOILERS)

I originally posted this in 'Story and Game Spoilers', but moved it to 'Grounded Discussions' since it has way more activity and scholars that could comment on this.

Almost done with the game, just have to do whatever at the javamatic.

There's lots of story about Wendell, the developments of his labs/tech for them, and the deterioration of his marriage. My question was: I wondered if he was shrinking himself and re-enlarging himself multiple times during this process?

For example, I think there's a tape recording talking about how his wife made him take a vacation with his kids where he got the idea for using spider silk for zip lines. In the pond lab, he talks about rapidly aging after visiting a doctor.

I guess what makes it conflicting for me is that I get vibes that he stays shrunk for most of his time after that. Like, the option of getting big again is never addressed. Was there ever a reason given why? Is that because of the raisining? Thanks for any discussion on this
