Which boss should I attempt to kill first?
Kinda confused on which boss I should try to kill first, the assistant manager or the broodmother?

I'd personally lean towards assistant manager. The loot drops from that are story progressing and unlock a few hidden places to. You will eventually have to beat AM to keep progressing the story. Broodmother is optional, and I personally like to wait until I get elemental weapons to work on the optional bosses. You can farm the optional ones, and doing so can lead to making some also incredibly nice things, but its also easier to do so when you are a bit more prepared. Inversely, if you can beat the broodmother and make her stuff, having it earlier can be devastating to any bugs dumb enough to pick a fight.

Worth mentioning that both can be intense fights. If you are truly struggling with either there are guides available (that usually focus on specifically those fights, so the most they spoil is possible weapon or armor options you may not have encountered yet). I mostly got through broodmother with perfect parry, tons of heals, and all the panic. So im not sure im the best to give tips there, except the basics like always bring lots of health and since its spiders, the mithridatism mutation can be incredibly helpful here as well.

For AM, it was a bit overwhelming on solo with everything that goes on during the fight, but you can find a clearer view of the action and a bit more safety near the middles of the back walls surrounding the room. Again, always bring lots of health to boss fights though. Smoothies are great for this with their stackability. I found it's good to focus on the minions when they get called (but keep an eye out for nearby attacks) before focusing on the boss again. You can easily get overwhelmed or forced into horrible and lethal positioning by those minions if not dealt with quickly.
