Perfect blocking with 2h weapon downside ?
Hello, having fun with the koi armor, is there any downside to perfect block with a 2h weapon or 1h with a torch vs with a shield ?

(Web search is plagued with elden ring post ^^)

No, perfect blocking behaves the same regardless of what weapon or tool you use to perfect block. The only thing shields make a difference on is you take less damage if you mess up the perfect block and just end up regular blocking instead as well as letting you block some specific attacks that only shields can block (firefly spray for instance).

Shields can also avoid some effects of certain attacks if you do a normal block by mistake such as avoiding poison from the Wolf Spider whereas a normal block with a weapon you would be poisoned.
