Xbox Live not showing friends list

I have been trying to share my world with my friend even if they are in game I go to share and they don't show up in the list its blank please help

Here's a fix for ppl to try as this worked for me and my partner after having issue's.

1. Once in game log into your microsoft account via the F1 log in - In Grounded
2. Once this is done it still will show you as offline - Load your game but DO NOT go into the game stay in the Lobby
3. Get your friends to log in once in grounded
4. Then you ( the host ) must invite people over steam into your lobby
5. Only once you have all your friends in the same Lobby then and only then you can start the game.

Found this to work the best even when you cannot see your friends or cannot even invite thru the grounded menu system.
