Achievements not unlocking why?

For me not a single achievement is unlocking. Host game multiplayer with 2 friends on PC.....The link with Xbox was made at the beginning)

you apparently need to be signed into xbox, or so i'm told, i don't have any achievements either.

you don't need to be signed into xbox to get achievements but since you are playing multiplayer you already are. custom game mode will disable achievements.

Edit - Apparently you do need to be signed into an xbox account for achievements to unlock. don't really understand why but yea..

i'm on whoa and solo no mods or anything, and i have no achievements

You do need to be signed into xbox. I wasn't going to bother but then I needed it for another game so I did for Grounded too. The moment I logged in I got 11 or so achievements. But yes, if playing multiplayer then you will already be logged in as it's required for that too.

I coulda swore i got the first few achievements before creating an xbox account to play with a friend. i may be remembering wrong since there are several sources saying you DO need to be logged in. was too long ago to remember accurately.

Logged in to xbox, got 3 achievements, finished the game now, still only 3 achievements, being logged in all the time. We haven't changed modes since. It's amazing how this is still broken so long after release.

I wasnt logged in when I got them but when I did log in I got them had to load the save but it worked

It sometimes takes a while (or multiple play sessions), but you should get all of them.

Fix: If you're playing with a friend with shared world. You dont get any achievements cause ... bad game. You need to make a copy of the World so it's not shared anymore and after that you must be the host (Crossplay must be deactivated).

I had this problem, played solo with no achievements. I tried disabling and then enabling crossplay, then load the save again and they all appeared. Hope this helps :)

can confirm as of 2/13/2025 this fixed it for me. I was wondering why I wasn't unlocking achievements on solo whoa mode. Disabling and reenabling then loading back in fixed it for me, and they all appeared. Gave some rewards to help your fix stand out, thank you.
