There has to be a fix for the high ping and net lag

Playing on gamepass. Having really bad rubberbanding and ping between a friend and me. Happens if either of us host. Internet is fine, this happens in none of the many other games we play, p2p or server based. Have no issues with other online gamepass games.

I had high ping issues a year ago in early access. I remember mitigating it a little by sorting out the Teredo tunneling service and getting my Xbox Live NAT type open, but that isn't helping this time. Xbox Networking panel shows 74 ms latency and open NAT. I opened all the Xbox Live ports. I tried changing the NetworkThrottlingIndex registry setting. No luck.

There has to be some internet setting causing this. I've seen this reported many times going back 2 years but no clear fix. It isn't like everyone is having this issue. There are clearly people who don't have ping issues. Can anyone report if they have ping issues on the Steam version? Because I'd consider it worth buying on Steam if this is just an Xbox/gamepass problem.

Its so laggy if you can connect. Most of the time you get disconnected though. You then attempt to rejoin just to get kicked again. Then eventually you just can't even join at all. The host then needs to restart... Then the whole process just starts over. It COULD be good with friends, if it actually worked.

Its just as bad on Steam. I've given up playing it. I bought several copies of this game for myself, friends, & kids to all play Co-op. What a joke.

Same here for PC. Trying to play with friend for few years and all the time it says "High ping". But ping betwen us is 40ms and no probs in other games. Deleted for the better times.

at least you can even multiplayer.

Same here (Steam/Pc). I host, friend joins and has high ping. He can't do anything then and we have to end the session. It is really sad. I can't imagine that there isn't a solution for this problem.
