The same can be said about mods. Imagine if achievements or, I don't know, some items were locked if you modded Skyrim for example. Mods can revive games and give them seconds life. Look at Budokai Tenkaichi 3. One guy made mod called Budokai Tenkaichi 4 and he added stuff from DBZ that wasn't in the game. He single handedly revived the game. Mods can help.
If you just do things for bragging or what other people care about, you're doing life wrong. That's actually a hilariously childish opinion.
Either way, cheating for an achievement in and of itself rules out the achieving part of it, and whether or not you like it people cheating to get rare achievements cheapens the whole system of it.
You made zero points why cheating shouldn't disable achievements, you just said "nah, I don't care" in an overly long winded way. Congrats to you.
Not to mention all you do is play Dyson Sphere lol, I'm not sure its a big problem over there.
It might cheapen it for you and some other people, doesn't affect me and some other people. Whether you like it or not, your opinion is not objective fact.
You've made no points either, beyond a sweeping opinion you claim as fact so.
Like I said I know if I have achieved something or not. Someone else cheating it doesn't affect what I have done.
Like if I climb to the top of a mountain and someone else gets a helicopter ride up there, I still climbed the mountain, their cheating doesn't take that away.
It's possible to get achievements with mods enabled on Dyson Sphere Program too. And you're right it's not a big problem there nor here because most people care about their own achievements and not the achievements (cheated or otherwise) of strangers on the internet.
Though I'm not sure how much I play DSP has anything to with anything, I've played more grounded than you have and it's not even the right number because I sunk a couple hundred hours in on xbox game pass before getting it on steam.
At any rate this is offtopic, the OP wanted to know if mods disabled achievements. They do not. In addition custom and creative mode also do not disable all achievements.
I do know you can get achievements with mods, because I already got two or three. Can't remember.
@Ding Chavez, I agree that cheating to get achievements is wrong, but not every person uses mods to get achievements or trophies. I, for example, downloaded mods that allowed me to get more space for materials and "call" my chest to deposit items whenever I want.
Also, why is playing DSP bad? It's a good game lol.
It's also possible to get achievements even with proper cheating, using unreal engine unlocker and using the prompt to turn on godmode and 1 hit kills doesn't disable achievements. Obviously that's a pretty skeevy way to get them and I wouldn't condone it, but it's interesting nontheless.
