Can't Join my friend's invitation

Hi, I'm in despair,
I tried to joined my 2 friends who play in cross-play steam/game pass.
But every time I accept the invite of my friends it don't make me joined, instead I'm brought back to the main menu with a Windows info saying that "you'll need a new app to open ms-xbl-multiplayer", and the only link the info give me is a direct to the xbox store homepage of Grounded to propose me to buy the game or take game-pass.
Like wtf ?!
I have the game on steam, my friend have it on game pass, and I was perfectly able to play crossplay with my friends before the full relseased of the game.
So what's happening ? That's non sens, and it seems that nobody on the internet have the answer, even xbox support seems to not carring at all and invite us to ask the problem here.
Is anybody have encounter this problem and solved it ?a

Only thing I can think of is to check your Xbox Networking settings and make sure it's open for connection. Had an issue with it myself, something to do with "Teredo" and had to make sure it wasn't blocked/disabled.

Yeah no, I've checked that but it's not this, every things is open and correct so it should be something else I guess.

The xbox app is pure unadulterated TRASH. I cannot get friends to join me no matter what I try... ANYONE found a solution yet?
