Lag issues
i just started playing and i have a decent comp yet this game laggs so much its unplayable.
Then i found out why wile looking at youtube vids , a guy found the bug three days ago and posted a vid , the ants are hording food and lagging out the game, trash all the food and the lag goes away. basicly a gammer has found the bug and im sure he reported it yet the devs seems to be sitting on there hands and cant take the time to do a hotfix for it , this does not bode well for the game.

It's really bad. Happens on my gaming laptop and gaming pc.

It's a physics issue. Not your PC. Promise.

From Ants collecting too much food.

And yes, it's been 7 days.
Since the update, re-introduced the Ant food problem.

I wrote a post about it as well.
However, as a older veteran gamer - I really don't like how this has been handled by the devs. OR, the lack of transparency(especially on patch notes, or rather, what they leave out).

why u never check any threads before posting something, everyday the same threads again like cmon,is it so hard to read ? its a known bug clear the food near black anthill and its gone, hopefully they patch it soon.

Just remember, if you have problems with a game you should never bring it up on an extremely active forum because someone has probably already brought it up. If you are dead-set on posting to a forum, never forget that nobody wants you to add your voice unless you make sure to read at least a few entire pages of threads first. But then obviously don't post because anyone who posts issues they are having is obviously lazy and should just wait for the patch that will obviously come out any second now - just like every other patch for every other bug that have always been addressed quickly and effectively. Best to just stay quiet and still because these are disease infested waters and everything is under control.

Why are these threads still alive? They patched the ant hoarding issue a few days ago.

They didnt fix it. The food gets deleted, yes....but they hoard it still. I just went there to check 2 times, it was good for like 5 game days, then they filled it right back up.

These devs are starting to annoy me, so now we wait another week for a fix for a fix that wasnt a fix?

Get a grip devs, ants are still hoarding even after this patch, HOW is that possible...

because they can't just get rid of the black ants. use you head. you don't want lag, go to the place they are hording and build a wall so it stops.

Its not fixed they only delete hoards in the main chamber lairs, it don't clear the ones dropped in water due to pathing issue, which is the main culprit

Ah. Well that sucks.

Ok i noticed how this patch ACTUALLY works. It deletes the hoardes everytime we load a save, so when the lag gets noticable, reload the save, it fixes it for quite a few ingame days.

Its a small price to pay to get rid of the lag, so do that instead of running looking for hoardes, it seems to be good for about 5-10 ingame days before the ants gather enough to lag our games out, and its usually just the host that notices it in mp, solo i dont know.

They patched it yesterday (at least when you posted it was released "a few days ago" and it wasnt a fix, but a temporal, and ofc welcome, workaround or band aid.

Which seems to be not working for many people. Thats why these threads are alive.

Welcome to Sesame Street explanations, lol
