Also I even know some games that have both types of transportation in them not just one or the other.
Base pulley system would require you or a friend to manually "crank" the pulley so you can go up or down.
Upgraded pulley system would allow you to have a pet run inside a wheel that runs the system automatically when you tell it to go up or down.
Also, I will use a slow zipline over walking. Even if my zipline is slower and inefficient, the convenience of making the task an idle/automated one out weighs anything else. A slow elevator would still have it's place if it means you just have to set it and not have to hold down a button. That and it'd probably be cheaper and less time consuming to build than a bounce tower. So it has it's pros and cons. Pros and cons = balance. Either option is viable depending on what you are going for.
That being said, yeah a fuzz-based landing pad is 10000% needed. We get too much fuzz and nothing to do with it and trampolines aren't great as a means of getting down from a high place as it still makes you go back up.
