EDIT: like what you were saying, rocks, logs, sticks, etc. but not base walls
trust me, with the jumping i've already experienced a wolf spider inside of my base. Don't need that more often.
Interesting, very interesting, how likely would you recommmend the new Iwolf model of the wolf spider that easily visits you inside your base to see how your doing and if you needed any help with becoming unalive at that moment?

which lead it to jump into it.
Other idea is using silk and some other parts, you can make a grappling hook which you can hang and swing from, and maybe also pull you up.
Grappling hooks would be nice too. I would guess that it would have to be a more mid/late game recipe since silk is easily obtainable early on. Also ladders need to allow you to haul stuff up while climbing because it's completely useless while building towers without the ability to haul stuff up.
Sounds good to me.
I think they should make it to where spikes don't take damage unless they're attacked directly, increase the crafting cost to balance this, as well as make it a higher tier item to unlock. It's already bad enough many bugs just can walk right over them and take very little damage. Spiders don't even seem to care honestly.
Spike Strips are doing their job though, a placebo effect to make you "feel" safe, akin to climbing into a tank that looks like it's made of titanium but really it's made of single ply 30 cent dollar store cardboard. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
(Honestly i've only placed spike strips against the 3 sealed walls of the oak tree i built to keep the 2-3 wolf spiders under the tree stuck under the tree, do the spike strips work? probably not, do the barricaded walls keep the spiders in? probably not... does it help with my paranoia of turning a corner and kissing the lips of a wolf spider and seeing the iris's of those giant red eyes, your Damn right it does help.)
