How to prevent ants from stealing

I build my base on top of a baseball and an ants still can stealing from my chest, how's that even possible they're just stealing from the ground.
How'd you prevent that?

I did the same. I haven't noticed them stealing, but I don't keep much food in storage. Curious to see if the is a way to stop them.

yeah they did stealing from me, he carried a piece of my items with their mouth lol

I think there's a radius in height they can still take food out, you can prevent it by putting your storage higher though.

Lol, long as said crossbow cooperates with you, seems it has a bug where it will fire, do recoil animation, take the stamina for firing, but not actually fire the arrow/bolt. i've had it do this 2 times in a row multiple times sometimes worse was 6 times in a row of a "phantom" firing, hopefully that's on their list of things to fix.

I built on top of the posts between the oak tree and rose bush. At 6 levels above my entrance the ants were still able to raid my chests. I would get a notice telling me so. This was about 6 months ago. At 8 levels above the entrance they stopped so I built my storage there. Get above the grass if you want security.

that's just silly, dev should fix this it doesn't makes any sense at all.

I noticed atleast for me that if you put your chest just a bit further away from the wall they won't eat it.
