Jewel recipes

How to unlock all Jewels recipes?
Salty Jewel, Quartize Jewel etc.

I have the shinny bugs Twinkling Shell but there's nothing to scan and yet still not unlocking the recipe for the Jewels.

Those come from the Burgl Chip in the Termite Den guarded by the Termite King. You'll need the tier 3 axe to access the area where the chip is.

i made a base just at the bottom of the termite den with some water and food and a little house for storage, the termite king isnt as tough as you think, i just shot him with the crossbow with level 1 arrows

Same. Both times I've had to get the chip I just kited him with the crossbow. Almost felt bad doing it honestly.

I've run the termite den twice, killed the king twice, I can't find the chip nor do I see it on the map. I hate to do it a third time (that's a lot of termites), but I'd at least like to know what I am missing.

If it's not here then I'm not entirely sure what the solution would be. May need to submit a bug report.

Thanks! I'll try again. The King's not hard to kill, just a lot of time killing those pesky termites.

Did it a THIRD time...there is no chip sitting on the ground there. I'd say I picked it up before unnoticed but I don't have it and Burgl didn't give me the recipe. The hell?

Umm... I don't know if the earlier posts were correct when written, but the Jewel recipes come after the Stump chip.

Just to make things clear, Burg.L doesn't give you recipes. When you return to him after finding the chip the recipes are unlocked in the ASL terminal so you can purchase them with Raw Science points. There's some dialog you have to go through. The woodpile chip unlocks the candy stave recipes and some other things. The stump chip unlocks jewel recipes. You can see what chips you've found by opening your Sca.B (Tab), then on the Data page look under Tech Chips.

You are correct. However, prior to 1.0 Stump Lab did not exist. OP was written a few months before then. That's the problem when threads get necro'd like this.

Ah. Thanks! I have the staves so I DID get the chip in the woodpile after all. Thanks for the clarification.
