Is the Waft Emitter worth it?

Is the Waft Emitter a valid method of farming bug parts you need? Like talking endgame, can you put in Black Ox Beetle parts to activate it, then get more parts back from what you killed than what it took to activate it? If not then what's the point of it, as that's the only use I can think of for it.

And what about the Lure Trap for that matter? The wiki says you can entice specific creatures to its location. So does that mean you can select Black Ox Beetles and have them suddenly appear and start attacking the lure? Or does the lure have to be near the beetles already?

I haven't built one myself (yet) and am also interested in the answer to this question.

If the Lure works like it used to (haven't used it in ages) it simply makes insects attracted to it or attack it rather than you or your structures. It has finite amount of health, but it acts as a distraction.

Now it's possible it doesn't operate like that anymore, I haven't used it since they added in the Koi Pond, so that was a long time ago. To be honest, it wasn't that useful back then either. It had very little health, but it was used as a way to kill bugs when there was less options at the time to do so. People would place spikes around them, and the bug would attack the lure and take damage from the spikes while you attacked with your sprig bow.

As far as the Waft Emitter, I've never personally used it, but from what I read ages ago was that it's good for farming common bug parts and that rare bug parts were oddly even more rare. Again, a lot of this could have changed and perhaps someone more familiar with with the items in their current state could be of more assistance.

Ya we need answers from people that have used these since the 1.0 update. Any information from before then isn't really relevant anymore since the game changed so much, and we don't know exactly how many things were changed still.

It seems rather useless. I did it a few times and couldnt make the same type of bug very angry, even when I filled the entire thing with parts of that one creature. I got far less than I spent summoning the raid.
