Which Armor should I upgrade?
I am not at the point in the game where I have access to Black Widow, Mantis, Moth, or even Fire Ant Armor (they won't drop their effin heads!). I'm looking to start upgrading a set of armor and I wanted your guys opinion on what set that should be. So as long as it's not one of the ones mentioned above, what armor should I invest in and why?

Koi Armor is insanely good if you like playing offensively. Then i'd say spider armor.
If you're a beta i guess ladybug or something.

Don't forget the eyepatch. It's complete crap defensively, but for offense it's stiil one of the stronger options even if you're wearing tier 3 gear.

Koi is pretty fun. If you don't need the perfect block extension there's better armors for pure damage though.

Black ant is great t2 offensive armor if you play solo. That crit on block proc is really good.
With sleek for hyperstamina on crit, coup de grass and parry master you'll be dishing out crits left and right while getting back stamina faster than you can spend it, especially if you pair it with a stinger spear and spider slider.

Spider isn't that great unless you make it sleek and swap the head for the sleek mask of the motherdemon for the poison synergy.
If you're wearing a set this offensive you're good enough at parrying to run parry master, so you have all the stamina you need already and don't need the piece or set bonus imo.

All great points blackphoenixx. I'm pretty solid at parrying, not a pro, but I parry far more than I block. Only thing so far that gives me trouble is mastering the wolf spider combo. I've been given advice about blocking and walking backwards and only parry the final blow. Still, it's a wolf spider, dude does what he wants sometimes. lol

I just crafted the Koi Armor, gonna give it a test run. Is the extended parry noticeable? Guess I will find out. Might help with that darn wolf spider. Really is the only thing I have trouble with. Black ox? Easy. Roly Poly? Pushover. Ladbird? What a joke.

Wolf Spider? "Surprise Motha f*cka".

How strong exactly is the eyepatch? Probably try parrying it with Thor's Trinket.

Pretty strong. It's a noticable damage increase, It doesn't seem to work on staves, but as far as i can tell it works on all melee weapons, thrown spears, bows and crossbows.

For most bugs you generally need 2-3 hits less, depending on what weapon you're using. Pretty often it seems to make the difference between needing one 3-hit combo or two for a kill, which i think is insanely valuable especially early game.

I suggest making one and just trying to fight a bunch of bugs with and without it while paying attention to how much damage you do and how many hits you need.

Took your advice, and yeah it's noticeable. Tested on Black Ox and Fire Ants, both with +5 Mint Mace and they took fewer hits to kill.

I also like the challenge of the negative damage resist. I might even use it with the trinket that heals you on parry combined with the life steal sword (Jesus I can't remember the name of that thing).
